The Roma group
The Roma population suffer discrimination throughout Europe. The majority of them live in deep poverty. Many adults are unemployed and many children leaving school early. Their urgent situation makes them a particularly prioritized minority group in the new EU strategy EU 2020.
With the support from the project management for Networking Europe the The Roma group group is working to widen its knowledge exchange and cooperation between countries, organizations and projects in Europe with special focus on the Baltic Sea region.
The main focus is to identify and link up with existing networks and create a wide network of contacts for the next Structural Funds period and for the EU 2020. In case areas are identified where network is missing, the working group will try to find organizations that can or should develop network or attache them to already existing ones.
